Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is an
upcoming videogame developed
by Ubisoft Montreal due for release in May 2010 for the Xbox 360 video
game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation3 computer
entertainment system, the PSP (PlayStationPortable) system, the Wii
system from Nintendo, the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DS systems, and
Microsoft Windows. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is will return
to the storyline established by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in
2003 and previously concluded by Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones in
2005.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is to "feature many
of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new
gameplay innovations," according to a press release from Ubisoft. For
the new game, it seems the publisher's used the Prince's own
time-rewinding powers to ditch the beautiful looks and gameplay systems
of the 2008 remake, and return to the all-round moodiness of the Sands
of Time era. They've got a film to milk, don't you know?
Prince
of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will expand the Prince of Persia universe
with a new storyline, the introduction of new characters, and new
powers over nature and time. The game takes place between Prince of
Persia The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia Warrior Within.
About the Game:
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the next
chapter in the fan-favourite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his
brother's kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the
royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction.
When the decision is made to use the ancient power of the Sand in a
desperate gamble to save the kingdom from total annihilation, the Prince
will embark on an epic adventure in which he will learn to bear the
mantle of true leadership, and discover that great power often comes
